We are looking to recruit a Technical Assistant to join our expanding team to work within the specialist building services industry. As a Technical Assistant you will be mainly office based but there will be opportunities to visit our on-site works to witness that side of the business. You will be given the opportunity to experience all areas of mechanical services within the business and main day to day responsibilities include observing, learning and understanding a wide range of technical skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff. You will be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses and work independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed, increasing overall contribution to the department.
Location: Colchester Office.
Qualifications: 4 GCSE’s (A-C) in Mathematics, English Language and Science (or similar technical based subject) or equivalent.
Attributes/Skills: Training will be given for the role however, if you enjoy learning new work skills then this opportunity is for you. This position suits a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual. This is an office-based career therefore, a good level of computer skill would be required and an interest in the construction industry is essential.
Starting Package: £20,000.00 with 15 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays. (Mandatory holiday time to be held back for Christmas shutdown period) and pension scheme with employer’s contribution.
