We are are currently looking for:
Company: Colne Valley Mechanical Limited.
Role: Colne Valley Mechanical Limited are looking for a mechanical estimator to join the Essex team. The estimator will be responsible for establishing mechanical tenders ranging from £0.5 – 5m M&E value. They will be working from specifications and architectural / services design drawings and ensure estimates are prepared to a high standard. They will obtain competitive and accurate quotations and will be able to build up cost plans with minimal design information. The estimator will also be expected to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers as well as attending meetings.
Location: Whilst based in the Colchester office the successful candidate may be required to travel to site on occasion and therefore, a full driving licence is essential.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a mechanical estimator in the commercial and new housing sector is necessary, mechanical qualifications are beneficial.
Attributes / Skills: The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic with excellent communication skills and the confidence and ability to work across all levels, using their own initiative.

We work with several local technical colleges in the development of apprenticeships, to find, train and produce the engineers of the future. We take on up to ten new apprentices a year in line with business growth on both mechanical and electrical services.
Our apprentices will gain a thorough structured training within the industry and on completion of the course will be awarded a NVQ Level 3 in the relevant vocation.
