“It’s our 30th anniversary”
To mark our 30 years of trading, we are looking back at how the company has grown and evolved over the years. Back in 1991, Colne Valley Electrical Ltd was formed by Kevin Barber and Richard Burrell during the recession in the 1990’s. Over the coming years the company, alongside the team, expanded as more and more contracts were won.
In 2008 the business evolved into the Colne Valley Electrical Group and growth continued. In 2016 Richard Burrell retired, and Kevin Barber took full control and ownership of the electrical businesses.
2017 was a busy and exciting year as Colne Valley Electrical Ltd formed Colne Valley Aviation Ltd which subsequently acquired Anglian Flight Centres Ltd and Bulldog Aviation Ltd. In the same year Kevin Barber and Paul French formed Colne Valley Mechanical Ltd so to allow the electrical side of the business to compete for M&E projects under the banner of the Colne Valley Group.
Under the leadership of the senior team the Group has continued to advance and invest in itself with the latest venture being the creation of an in house design department. This allows us to offer a seamless and coordinated design service incorporating options for value engineering.
The future looks bright for the Colne Valley Group as we continue to grow whilst sticking to our core belief of working with the client as part of a team to guarantee the delivery of a quality product on time and within budget.
